The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus reported that they conducted exercises to prepare for the elections in 2024. They were attended by employees of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee, all district departments of internal affairs and “other representatives of the security bloc.”
The Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov personally observed the tactical and special exercises.
“In anticipation of the 2024 election campaign, special attention is paid to the theoretical and practical aspects of ensuring the protection of public order in emergency situations, increasing the level of readiness of employees to respond to possible threats,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained their exercises.
Earlier, Telegraf reported that on October 2, Alexander Lukashenko received the head of the Council of the Republic (SR) Natalya Kochanova at the Palace of Independence. According to the press service, he asked her 4 questions, the last of which he called “the hottest topic.”
