[인사이드비나=문동원 기자] Samsung Electronics conducted regular executive personnel appointments for 2024 on the 29th, with the number of executive promotions reduced by about 40 compared to last year.

A total of 143 people were promoted, including 51 vice presidents, 77 managing directors, 1 fellow, and 14 masters, compared to 187 last year (59 vice presidents, 107 managing directors, 2 fellows, and 19 masters). There was a decrease of 44 people. In particular, the number of newly appointed managing directors decreased by 30.

There are four female executives promoted, including two vice presidents and two managing directors, and one foreigner is promoted to vice president and managing director.

Regarding this personnel change, Samsung Electronics said, “To overcome the uncertainty of the global business environment and expand the leadership foundation for future sustainable growth, we promoted many talents in the S/W and new technology fields and selected young leaders and technical talents to create a new generation.” “Replacement has also been accelerated,” he explained.

Samsung Electronics has completed its management personnel reshuffle with this executive reshuffle following the CEO reshuffle on the 27th, and plans to confirm organizational reorganization and personnel appointments in the near future.
