Russian Leadership Vows to Liberate Kherson and Surrounding Cities

The Russian leadership is determined to liberate Kherson. Governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo announced this today at the congress of the United Russia party in Rostov-on-Don.

“I spoke on Friday with Putin (Russian President Vladimir Putin. — EADaily), with the military – everyone is determined to return to Kherson,” said Saldo.

In addition, the Russian leadership intends to regain control over other settlements located on the right bank of the Dnieper, and after that the Russian army, according to him, will liberate Nikolaev, Odessa, Izmail and other cities.

The Kherson region, Saldo said, should become not only a place for recreation and tourism, but also the breadbasket of Russia.

“The highest culture of agriculture was revived and born here. Wheat, sunflowers, watermelons, tomatoes – all this is produced on Kherson soil. Despite the fact that the dam was destroyed, this year we collected almost 1.5 million tons of grain alone. And our task is to recreate all this,” the governor emphasized.

As reported EADailyGovernor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo canceled the state of emergency, which was introduced in connection with the disaster at the Kakhovka hydroelectric station.

In his telegram channel, he recalled that on June 6, the hydroelectric dam was destroyed by the Kyiv regime, as a result of which the waters of the Kakhovka reservoir flooded 23 settlements on the left bank of the Dnieper.

“59 people died from the consequences of the flood, 175 people were hospitalized, about 9 thousand residents were evacuated to safe places. Tremendous damage has been caused to public, private and personal property,” he wrote.
