The rehabilitation of the structures of the Toulouse-Matabiau station will be heavier than expected. Indeed, following the derailment of a work trainthis Sunday, November 26, damage has been caused on SNCF network equipment, at station level, requiring intervention by maintenance services. When leaving its track, the train hit an electrical pole and damaged the rails, switches and catenaries. A construction site which will disrupt rail traffic on all regional lines passing through the Pink City. “In order not to completely interrupt traffic, we are diverting trains onto other routes to the detriment of certain other lines,” explains the SNCF.
Traffic adapted for a week
Thus, train circulation is adapted throughout Toulouse, and in particular on the Toulouse-Montauban line served by TGV and main lines. A situation which should last until December 4 inclusive, informs the SNCF:

The traffic will therefore only resume normally on Tuesday, December 5as announced by the railway company, the date on which the work at Toulouse-Matabiau station should be completed.
Same scenario on the Béziers-Narbonne line
It will be necessary also wait until December 5, on the Béziers-Narbonne axis, so that train traffic becomes fluid again. In question ? A malicious act, at the level of the commune of Coursan, which led to a fire in a signaling cabinet, this Saturday, November 25. Although the flames were quickly brought under control, the damage they caused required more extensive work. Construction planned to last one week, until December 4 inclusive.
