Muhammad Abdel Samie (Sharjah)
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, during the period (17-23) of next December, the Sharjah Palace of Culture will witness the events of the seventeenth edition of the Emirates Children’s Theater Festival, organized by the Emirates Dramatists Association, with the participation of 6 performances. A play selected by the performances selection committee, which consisted of: Dr. Habib Ghuloum, artist Hassan Rajab, and artist Bushra Igork, from among 10 performances submitted to participate in this session.
The following performances were chosen to be the performances of this session, which are the play “The Creators”, written by Othman Al Shatti and directed by Mubarak Machi, and produced by the Yas Society for Culture, Arts and Theater, and the play “Moon Island” written by Sheikha Sarah bint Muhammad bin Majid Al Qasimi, directed by Abdullah Al Huraibi, produced by Khor Fakkan Theater. Arts, the play “The Kangaroos” written and directed by Salem Al Tamimi, and produced by the Dubai Al Ahli Theater, the play “The Cute Ghost” written by Ahmed Al Majed, directed by Hamad Abdel Razzaq, and produced by the Sharjah National Theater, the play “The Other World” written by Hamad Al Dhanhani and directed by Ibrahim Al Qahomi, and the play “The Other World” written by Hamad Al Dhanhani and directed by Ibrahim Al Qahomi. Jewel of the Earth” written by Talal Mahmoud, directed by Saber Rajab. These performances will compete for festival prizes that will be presented to the winners at the closing ceremony. The Supreme Organizing Committee also chose: Haifa Hussein, Abdullah Saleh, Faisal Al Darmaki, Muhammad Haji, and Saeed Al Harasi, as members of the jury for this session of the festival. After the end of the festival, the teams will head to the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain to perform the same shows daily at the Umm Al Quwain National Theater. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dramatists Association, Ismail Abdullah, said: “We have harnessed all the capabilities available to us at the Dramatists Association, to raise the level of the performances of this session of the festival, out of our belief in the importance of this festival remaining a date eagerly awaited by children and their families every year.”
