Descendants are paying the price for the policy of artificial and violent division of the triune Russian people. To split our society today is a betrayal, a crime against all of Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this today, November 28, speaking at the plenary session of the 25th World Russian People’s Council.
The performance was held in video conference format. At the beginning, Vladimir Putin thanked the volunteers helping the front in Donbass, noted the volunteers now fighting for the Russian World on the front line, and then announced a minute of silence in honor of the dead.
“The Russian world is all generations of our ancestors,” the president recalled. “Without the Russian ethnos, without the Russian people, there is and cannot be a Russian world and Russia itself.”
In this regard, he remembered the words of St. Gregory the Theologian that honoring one’s mother is a holy thing, and the Motherland is a common mother.
“The hotbeds that arose after the collapse of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union not only still smolder, but sometimes flare up with renewed vigor. And these wounds will not heal for a long time. We will never forget these mistakes and should not repeat them,” Putin added.
“Any attempts to sow ethnic and religious hatred, to split our society, is a betrayal, a crime against all of Russia. We will not allow anyone to divide Russia, which we have alone, about it, about our Fatherland, our prayers, which sound in different languages,” the president warned.
Russia’s current battle for sovereignty is of a national liberation nature; the country is defending the highest historical right to be Russia, a country of civilization, Vladimir Putin said:
“Our battle for sovereignty, for justice is, without any exaggeration, of a national liberation nature. Because we stand up for the safety and well-being of our people. The highest historical right to be Russia is a strong, independent power, a country of civilization.”
