Russia is currently fighting for the freedom of the whole world, not just its own country. This was stated by President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the World Russian People’s Assembly (WARNS), quoted by the Russian media.
“Now we are fighting for the freedom not only of Russia, but also of the whole world. We openly say that the dictatorship of the hegemon – we see this, everyone sees it now – is faltering, it is collapsing, as they say, into chaos and is simply dangerous for others,” Putin quoted the Kremlin’s official website as saying.
According to the president, Russia is now “at the forefront of creating a more just world order”. “And I want to emphasize: without a sovereign, strong Russia, a lasting and stable world order is not possible,” Putin added.
The Russian leader also recalled that the World Russian People’s Council was created in 1993, at a difficult and turning point for the country, when it managed to “unite around common goals representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, other religious organizations, political parties and movements, cultural figures , scientists, entrepreneurs, people with different views, beliefs, nationalities, but united in the main thing – in their firm patriotic position.
