Satisfactory Moves to Unreal Engine 5 and Gets DLSS/FSR/XeSS Support – INDIAN

Satisfactory, the first-person building sandbox, has received a major update. Thanks to her, the title went to more modern Unreal Engine 5. The developers from Coffee Stain Studios informed about it in a press release.

The game is in early access from Steam and Epic Games and the so-called Update 8 brings additional improvements such as support for upscaling technologies.

The transition from Unreal Engine 4 to a newer engine has been in the works for a long time and the community was notified of this change months in advance. Thanks to Unreal Engine 5, it was possible to deliver to players brand new options related not only to graphics, but also to gameplay itself. The developers focused, for example, on physics and/or vehicle sounds.

From a visual point of view, the title excites thanks to the presence of Lumen technology, which improves reflections and lighting. Players with slower hardware will certainly appreciate the presence of TSR and FXAA anti-aliasing methods. To achieve a higher number of FPS it is now possible to use technologie DLSS, FSR a XeSS.

Update 8 also brings requested changes in the functioning of the blueprints or menu with advanced game settings, where you can enable options such as Flight Mode (flying mode), No Build Cost (building without the need to have the necessary raw materials) or Set Starting Tier (setting the tier you start playing on). The individual settings to play with are nicely explained by community manager Jace Varlet in this video:

They also get into the game new toolsfor example Priority Power Switchwhich allows sections of the electrical network to be organized according to different priorities. “So if there is a power outage, the priority power switches will shut down in order of priority, shutting down the parts of the plant behind them until enough power is available for the rest of the network to operate,” written by developers.

She added more Power Tower (power tower) or large building allowing to connect power lines over longer distances.
