Avengers: Kang Dynasty hires Loki creator as screenwriter

The creator of “Loki“, Michael Waldronwas hired this beginning of the week as the new screenwriter of “The Avengers: Kang Dynasty”, one of the stellar films in the near future of the films of Marvel.

It should be remembered that Waldron had already been hired to write the script for “The Avengers: Secret Wars”, a sequel to the aforementioned and the last part of this phase about the existence of the multiverse.

The dates contemplated for the release of both films are May 1, 2026 and May 7, 2027, like the releases of “Infinity War” and “Endgame”, in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

It is important to emphasize that neither of the two films has a director yet, after the departure of Destin Daniel Cretton from the making of “King Dinasty” and the lack of selection for the second installment.

Despite the news, the making of the film is still up in the air, after the problems and controversies generated by the actor of ‘Kang´, Jonathan Majorswho was accused of domestic violence and is awaiting trial.

And Majors already played ‘Kang´ on various occasions both in the movie “Ant-Man and the Wasp”: Quantumania” and in the series “Loki“, one of the most beloved productions by fans of Marvel.

On the other hand, Waldron was the producer of the first season of “Loki” and was one of the screenwriters of “Doctor Strange: Into the Multiverse of Madness”, a film that amassed more than $955 million at the global box office during 2022.

For now, the most recent films of Marvel have been suffering at the box office, after the premiere of “Quantumania” and “The Marvels”, the two productions that have grossed the least in the history of Marvel Studios.

After this and due to the strike of Hollywood screenwriters and actors, the studio’s only film scheduled for 2024 is “Deadpool 3”, which will star Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
