The first of the two postponements on Monday ends in a draw A league. THE MATCH
Lecce’s long winless streak continues, without a win since 22 September, while Hellas Verona interrupts a series of five consecutive defeats. These are the big themes of the Bentegodi match, which ended with a 2-2 comeback for the hosts. News for both teams at the Bentegodi, with the Salento team without Ramadani and Baroni changing formation to try to save his bench: the Scala players thus move to 4-2-3-1, Suslov supports Djuric. They immediately push the yellow-blues, with an electric Ngonge driving Dorgu crazy in his lane. The Belgian creates the first two chances of the match, Lecce responds with Sansone and Oudin: the latter finds a prompt response from Montipò, while Banda comes close to scoring a few moments later. The goal is in the air and is stopped by D’Aversa’s Giallorossi, who pass on the half hour with Oudin’s great right-foot shot from twenty meters: a powerful and impressive conclusion that leaves Montipò no escape. The goal risks making Hellas lose their distance, who risk doubling their lead thanks to Banda’s action and recover in the 41st minute: this time it is an individual error, by Dorgu, which favors Ngonge’s goal following an assist from Djuric.
We went to half-time with a draw and in the second half a transformed Verona entered, testing Falcone’s reflexes: the goalkeeper was attentive to Ngonge and performed an authentic miracle on Duda’s shot from outside, removing the ball from the top corner. In their worst moment, however, Lecce fortunately returned to the front: Gonzàlez’s shot was deflected by Lazovic and it was 2-1 in the 68th minute. Baroni reacted by introducing Bonazzoli and switching to 4-2-4, and equalized after just nine minutes with Djuric, author of the winning break to make it 2-2 in the 77th minute. The Scala team also came close to scoring the victory, with a miraculous double save by Falcone on Ngonge and Duda, taking a big risk in the 89th minute: Piccoli saw another goal canceled due to an offside (clear), after the controversial episode with Milan. Confusion reigns in injury time and the result does not change: Verona and Lecce stop at a 2-2 which can save Baroni’s bench, largely at risk in the break and today decisive with the substitutions. D’Aversa brings Sassuolo back on 15 points and in 13th place, Hellas are second to last on nine: salvation is just one point away.
REPORT CARDS
Djuric 7 – He revitalizes a Hellas Verona traumatized by the goals conceded and is decisive: he provides the assist in the first half and scores the goal with a break from his team in the second half. A performance to remember for the Scala leader.
Mboula 5 – Long gone are the days when he was a potential crack coming out of Barça B. He never manages to convince in his return to the starting lineup, with many turnovers and movements that prove ineffective. He turns out to be a foreign body, in fact after a few minutes Hellas plays only on Ngonge’s side.
Falcone 7.5 – Saves his Lecce with a series of sensational saves. The one on Duda in the 61st minute was amazing, which saw him literally remove the ball from the top corner, as was the double intervention that avoided the 3-2. His growth is palpable, he deserves a place (as third) in the national team.
Krstovic 5 – The times when he scored four goals and attracted the attention of the big names seem very distant. He never manages to free himself from the marking of Hien and Amione, wandering around in circles and struggling a lot to touch the ball. To this day, there is a gulf between his and Piccoli’s impact.

Lecce have never won in nine away games against Verona in Serie A: four draws and five defeats, the yellow-blue team is the team faced the most times by the Salento away from home in the top tournament without ever winning.
Verona has remained unbeaten in the last eight matches against Lecce in Serie A (5W, 3D): against any team the Scaligeri have a longer open streak of consecutive matches without defeat in the top division.
In all seven matches in which Verona scored at the Bentegodi against Lecce in Serie A, the Venetians always scored at least two goals per match: 15 goals in total (2.2 per match).
