A cautious calm in southern Lebanon.. How did the residents of Kfar Shuba take advantage of the truce in Gaza? | Arab TV

The people of the Lebanese town of Kfar Shuba returned to their homes on the southern border, after the town was a station for Israeli bombing on a daily basis throughout a month and a half of battles in southern Lebanon, which broke out with the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on the eighth of last October.

From Kafr Shuba, Al-Arabi correspondent Joyce Al-Haj Khoury said that the town was witnessing a cautious calm amid intense flights of Israeli reconnaissance planes, as some of the town’s residents returned to inspect their homes in the area directly facing the occupied Palestinian territories.

The truce has been in force in the Gaza Strip since Friday on the southern border of Lebanon, after more than a month and a half of mutual bombing between Hezbollah and Palestinian factions on the one hand, and the occupation army on the other.

In front of one of the houses in Kafr Shuba that was hit by the Israeli bombing, Al-Arabi’s correspondent, and behind her, the Ruwaisat Al-Alam site, which was subjected to attacks by Hezbollah fighters, explained that the Israeli military site was one of the most targeted sites from Lebanon.

The correspondent indicated that there are fears spreading throughout the town and its surroundings about the return of tension and Israeli military operations towards Lebanese territory, especially with the truce between Israel and Hamas entering its fourth and final day.

On Saturday, the Israeli occupation army opened fire on a civilian car near the border with southern Lebanon, without causing human casualties, disrupting the cautious calm that was witnessed on the second day of the truce.

The official Lebanese Information Agency reported at the time that the occupation forces opened fire on a “Rapid” car in the Wazzani area in the Marjayoun district, adding that the driver miraculously survived after five bullets hit the car, while a Lebanese army patrol evacuated him from the place.

In another incident, the Lebanese Agency reported that the occupation army fired into the air to intimidate farmers working on their land in the Wadi Hunine border area.

She added that Israeli forces fired into the air to intimidate a media team affiliated with the “NBN” channel on the Khiam Road opposite the Metulla settlement.
