A group of artists mourned the Egyptian actor Tariq Abdel Aziz, who died after suffering a sudden heart attack while filming the series “We Left Two.” He was taken to the hospital and died as a result of the health crisis that befell him.
Series producer Karim Abu Zekry said that Tariq Abdel Aziz had been on set since Sunday morning, November 26, 2023, noting that the death occurred without prior warnings or signs of fatigue and in an unexpected manner.
The producer indicated that the late artist was participating in filming his scenes, before he suffered a sudden fainting and was taken to the hospital where he died immediately.
For its part, the Acting Professions Syndicate confirmed the news of the death of artist Tariq Abdel Aziz through the union’s official Facebook account, mourned him and offered condolences to his family.
The sudden death of Abdel Aziz was a shock to the artistic community, so the artist Mohamed Henedy mourned him and wrote, “Brother, support, and lifelong friend.. May God have mercy on you.. May God give us patience in your separation.”
The artist Fathi Abdel Wahab also mourned him, who prayed for mercy and forgiveness for him.
Through his Facebook account, the artist Ahmed Wafik mourned him and wrote, “I am saddened by your loss, my friend. The beautiful Tariq Abdel Aziz has passed away. Goodbye, my dear.”
Actress Miret Hariri, daughter of the late artist Omar Hariri, also mourned him and wrote on her Facebook account, “Today I lost a brother and a friend.”
Prince Abaza, head of the Alexandria Film Festival, also wrote on his Facebook account, “We lost the noble and respected friend and artist Tariq Abdel Aziz.”
The late artist had suffered a health crisis last June, when he underwent a heart catheterization, and upon leaving the hospital, he posted a picture on his Facebook account of him with the medical staff, and said, “Praise be to God always. The second catheterization was completed successfully and the stents were installed,” and he was keen to During the post, he reassured his fans and thanked those who supported him during this ordeal.
Tariq Abdel Aziz was born in 1968, and began his artistic career by participating in the films of graduates of the Higher Institute of Cinema, and working in the university theater at the Faculty of Law, where the university’s theater troupe brought him together with the artists Khaled Al-Sawy and Khaled Saleh, and he worked for a period in the workshop troupe with Hassan Al-Gritli.
In cinema, he received a number of opportunities in the early 2000s, where he appeared with Mohamed Henedy in the movie “My Sa’idi in the American University,” and also participated in “Cultural Film,” “Friends or Business,” and “Clash.”
Among the characters that he presented and left an imprint was the character of the political leader Mustafa El Nahhas in the series “A Man of This Time” by director Anam Muhammad Ali. The artist Adel Imam also participated in the series “Professor and Head of Department.”
His artistic credit reached about 83 works between theatre, cinema, and television drama, and his last participation was in 2022 in 5 series, which are “We Return Ya Hawa,” “Dayma Amer,” “Investigation,” “Colors,” and “What Should I Do?”
While he was participating in the current year 2023 in the series “We Stayed Two,” which he continued filming until his death on the set of the work.
The late artist interacted with the events of the Israeli aggression on Gaza through his Facebook account through his posts, where he published one of Mahmoud Darwish’s poems a few weeks ago:
