ANTARIKSA — On November 26 2011, NASA launched the Curiosity rover robot to the planet Mars. Curiosity is the largest and most powerful rover ever sent to the Red Planet.
The Curiosity spacecraft was launched on an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. About nine months later, Curiosity made a challenging landing on Mars.
He succeeded in using a new landing technology at that time, called a sky crane. The technology lowers it slowly to the surface of Mars.

The two-ton science laboratory is the size of a small SUV. The goal of the mission is to search for a habitable environment on Mars, or evidence that the planet was habitable in the past.

Within weeks of being on Mars, Curiosity fulfilled its mission. He found evidence of traces of flowing water on Mars. He also later discovered organic molecules on Mars.
