Not Siraj, he is Mohammed Shami’s successor, he is Junior Shami: Ashwin

Superstar Mukesh Kumar has been described as the successor of Mohammad Shami by Star All Rounder R. Ashwin. Ashwin also said that Mukesh Kumar has all the potential to become a bowler like Mohammed Shami.

Ashwin said this in a video shared on his YouTube channel.

“I thought that Mohammad Siraj would be Mohammad Shami’s successor or junior Shami. But now I feel that India’s new pace sensation Mukesh Kumar will be Shami’s successor.

Everyone in the team calls Shami as Lala. But I call her Laletta. I will call you Laletta, the name of Mohalal, the superstar of our Malayalam cinema.

I think Junior Lalettan is Mukesh Kumar. I thought Siraj Jr. would take the name Lalettan. But I think Mukesh Kumar will take that title.

Same body type as Shami, same height as Shami, same wrist position. His every ball lands in the perfect seam position. Mukesh did very well in the series against West Indies,’ added Ashwin.

Meanwhile, Mukesh Kumar is busy with Australia’s tour of India. Mukesh Kumar performed well in the first match of the five-match series.

Only against Mukesh Kumar in the first T20 of the series in Visakhapatnam did the Aussie superstars fail to find a run.

Mukesh Kumar, who bowled four overs on a run-flowing pitch, conceded only 29 runs despite not being able to take any wickets.
