The traditional lighting of the iconic Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will give the ‘starting signal’ for Christmas activities in the Big Apple this coming November 29.
The celebration will take place this coming Wednesday at 8:00 pm and artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Seth MacFarlane, Barry Manilow y Cheramong others.
It will be decorated with more than 50,000 energy-efficient multicolor LED lights
A star will be placed at the top of the tree. 90 pounds with 3 million Swarovski crystals.
Starting November 29, It will be on every day from 5:00 in the morning until midnight.
On Christmas Day the tree will be lit for 24 hours and on the last day of the year it will remain on from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm.
It will be retired on January 13, 2024.

Streets around Rockefeller Center will close in December
Starting the first weekend in December, the streets around Rockefeller Center will also be closed.
West 49th Street and West 50th Street will be pedestrianized between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.
