In addition to books, at the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) there is something that is attracting the attention of its attendees.
It is about tequila, the drink that Mexicans and foreigners love and of which there are hundreds of bottles on display and for sale with the aim that anyone, from anywhere in the world, can get to know the national spirit.
It may interest you:
There are some simple ones and others that are quite artisanal, such as those that are hand-painted with Mexican motifs such as catrinas and skulls or those that have beads and work done by Wixarikas artisans.
These artisanal bottles cost between 2,000 and 3,000 pesos, while the others packaged in a more traditional way can be found from 650 pesos.
And although they all attract attention, without a doubt, the ones that Mexicans and foreigners like the most are the artisanal ones.
“We have a wide variety of brands and types of tequila, such as white, reposado, añejo and extra añejo, some black and the reposado rosa which is very fashionable,” explained Elena Rosas, in charge of the area where the tequilas are sold within the PHIL.
And if what you are wondering is if they offer tasting, you should know that they do, but only to people over 18 years of age and they are very careful not to offer drinks to minors, who represent a good part of the public at the FIL.
