The 50-year-old from the Salzburg area was working with a colleague at a company in the Vöcklabruck district around 11:45 a.m. He was just trying to fix a problem with a machine. So he took out a skirting board that had been placed over a second one in the planer and tried to push it down. He slipped and got his fingers caught in the planer, causing serious injuries. After medical treatment, he was flown to the hospital in the “Martin 3” rescue helicopter.
