It was set up for drama at Grimsta, after 0-0 in Alingsås last week. But BP made the process short for Alingsås.
21 minutes into the match, Wilma Wärulf scored the first goal of the match with a delicious shot at the far crossbar. And that was just the beginning.
The goals kept rolling in and BP had a 5-0 lead with about a quarter of an hour left in the game. Then Line Wessman received a post the wrong way round, and the 18-year-old added a bicycle kick for 6-0 to BP.
– It’s my first goal in a competitive match, so it’s a good way to do it. I don’t really know what went through my head there, but I went for it, says Wessman to SVT Sport.
“I looked back and saw it hit the finish line”
Were you sure you wanted to try a bicicleta?
– I’ve never done a “bica” before, but when it was in the air I thought: “I’ll try, I have no one to play to”. Then I looked back and saw that it hit the finish line.
The crush means that BP will continue to play in the women’s league next season as well.
Also on the men’s side, BP had to qualify to stay in the Allsvenskan, and there they won 7-0 in the first meeting against Utsikten.
