Music » On a beautiful morning in the summer of 1999, Lizzy Goodman, a young provincial from New Mexico, arrived in Manhattan, with dreams in her head. And it’s well known that dreams come true in New York. For now, Lizzy is following the usual obstacle course: a poorly paid job as a waitress in a Park Avenue restaurant located not far from where Max’s Kansas City stood in the 1970s, a legendary rock club that saw a parade artists as diverse as the Velvet Underground, Alice Cooper, David Bowie, the Ramones, Patti Smith and even a young bearded man from neighboring New Jersey named Bruce Springsteen.
