Four hundred children from 63 teams will meet this weekend at the ‘Fanatic Mini’ Basketball Tournament in León
Four hundred children will gather this weekend at the León Exhibition Palace to participate in the ‘Fanatic Mini’ and enjoy basketball, as explained by the Councilor for Sports, Vicente Canuria, who pointed out that this event “generates a great return to the city”. Two days in which a total of 63 teams, both female and male, participate, 36 of juveniles and 27 of juniors from the province of León and the entire autonomous community in a “great event” in whose presentation the former coach of the Spanish Basketball team and Barcelona, Aito García Reneses.
A competition that returns to León, which is already a “reference” as a venue for tournaments in different sports disciplines and is organized by the Basketball Federation of Castilla y León, in collaboration with the León City Council.
The main objective of the ‘Fanatic Mini’ is to provide clubs and schools with the possibility of playing basketball matches that contribute to improving the technical training of their players in the two scheduled days.
Also present at the presentation were the president of the Castilla y León Basketball Federation, Óscar Castañeda, and José Manuel Vázquez, provincial representative of the Federation.
