Sheikh Mohammed gave permission for Dubai Metro ‘Blue Line’

Dubai Metro’s new Blue Line will be completed in 2029. Ruler Sheikh Muhammad gave permission for the construction of a new road of 30 km length. Deputy Governor Sheikh Maktoum inaugurated the project. The new line of Dubai Metro is coming with many features. The new Blue Line metro line will cut through the creek, which is part of the inner city of Dubai. The 30 km stretch will have 14 stations. It will include two interchange stations and one iconic station.

Blueline road will be constructed in two directions. One of them is a 21 km route starting from Creek Station in Al Jadaf and extending to Akkad City via Dubai Creek Harbour. There will be 10 stations in this direction. The second is a nine-km stretch starting from the Centrepoint station at Rashidiya and extending to the Interchange station at International City. It will have four stations including Warqa and Mirdif.

Dubai International Airport is served by metro lines that take 25 minutes to reach all the main areas of the city of Dubai. It is hoped that the five main urban areas of the city will be interconnected. The new Blueline route will pass through the areas of Jaddaf, Rashidiya, Rasalkhur, Mirdif, Alwarqa, International City, Academic City and Silicon Oasis.

The Blue Line project, which will be built at a cost of 800 crore dirhams, was formally launched by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Vice-Governor of Dubai at a ceremony held at Creek Harbour. The new Blue Line of Dubai Metro aims to provide travel facilities for thousands of students who are expected to go to Academic City, where the universities of Dubai operate.
