Six poodle puppies stolen from New York apartment by masked burglars

After taking a spare key to an apartment from its owner’s car, two masked men broke in and stole six small puppies in New York.

A call for witnesses has just been launched after the theft of six puppies by two masked men. The events took place last Friday, November 10 in an apartment in the Bronx, New York, as reported by New York Post.

The two thieves managed to recover the keys to the accommodation from the owner’s car, before entering around 9:30 p.m. They then grabbed the six poodle puppies, just four weeks old, and put them in a sports bag before leaving the area.

“This is a serious crime”

An investigation was launched after the owner noticed her puppies being stolen. Thanks to video surveillance images, which the police released, a call for witnesses was launched to find the trace of the two thieves. Both men wore white masks, one wore a black hoodie and the other brown.

For the family, it was a drama that played out a few days before Christmas since each puppy was to be a gift for their loved ones. “Everyone is upset and worried about the puppies,” their owner said.

“I believe that I was watched that day and perhaps followed,” she declared to our colleagues. “People know I have them…they know I have the dogs. I show them online on social media.”

What she hopes now is that her puppies will be found. “I hope they take care of them wherever they are because this is a serious crime. I want them to bring them back safe.” Police continue to carry out investigations to find the little puppies.
