Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen is at the top of Radio 10’s Top 4000 for the sixteenth time this year. Gerard Ekdom revealed the complete list on Friday morning in Ekdom in the morning and surprised Ilse DeLange with a lifetime achievement award.
The singer has been in the business for 25 years this year and, with twelve songs, is the Dutch singer with the most songs in the Top 4000. The list can be followed for four weeks from Saturday morning on Radio 10.
The statue she was presented with consists of a stack of blocks with the covers of her CDs. “This is the most beautiful award I have ever received,” the singer said in the broadcast. “Thanks, it will get a nice spot.”
The top three remains unchanged, with Bohemian Rhapsody on a, Hotel California of Eagles at second and Roller Coaster from Danny Vera on three. New in the top ten Soldier On from DI-RECT.
Radio 10 also sees notable shifts as a result of current events, including Acda and de Munnik (comeback), Robbie Williams (documentary), Tina Turner (death) and Taylor Swift (world tour).
