MÁLAGA – Tennis players from Italy and Serbia will meet in the semifinals of the Davis Cup final tournament. The Serbs won the quarter-finals over Great Britain 2:0. The second semi-final pair consists of Finland and Australia.
The Serbs had less work to do with the British and decided their progress already in the singles. First, Miomir Kecmanovic won over Jack Draper 7:6 (2), 7:6 (6), and then Novak Djokovic added the second point, the leader of the world ranking won over Cameron Norrie 6:4, 6:4.
Djokovic has not lost a Davis Cup match in singles since 2011, in singles he has won 21 matches in this competition. The Serbs advanced to the semi-finals for the second time in three years.
Each match of the knockout stage consists of two singles matches and an eventual deciding doubles match. The final is scheduled for Sunday from 4:00 p.m.
