Details: She said a preliminary investigation found no indication that the incident was a terrorist attack.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating an incident that prompted authorities to close the Rainbow Bridge border crossing between Niagara Falls, New York and Ontario.

Khochul said that the car “crashed into a customs and border guard booth, and the car and the booth immediately exploded and burst into flames. I saw a video of the flight, which was absolutely surreal.”

Two U.S. law enforcement officials said authorities believe the incident may have been caused by a careless driver.

The customs officer was injured, he went to a local hospital and was released.

The incident caused some disruption to local traffic ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Added at 5.09: The FBI said the incident on the US-Canada bridge was not related to terrorism and no explosives were found.
