CONAKRY- Despite the strong demand for postponement from the eight clubs out of the 14 that make up Ligue 1, the opening match between Hafia FC and Gangan should take place this Wednesday, November 22, even if we learn that the club is still Kindia. For the pre-match press conference, the green and bench club of Hafia says it is ready to put its trophy back on the line and fight for the conservatory, on behalf of this new 2023-2024 sporting season. According to the coach
« After 38 years of waiting, Hafia will begin this season as champion of Guinea. It’s a source of pride for us. We were able to retain our players by also bringing in two to three new players. It starts this Wednesday against Gangan who are returning to Ligue 1, it’s never easy to play. We are aware of the stakes and we are ready for this new season. I don’t know the Gangan team too much but we already know that they are promoted, they will play against us, there will be determination, aggressiveness and motivation. It’s up to us to respect the club and stay calm. Remember last season with Sangarédi. The Moustapha Kouyaté case? It’s completely shot. We wish him good luck. I hope our supporters will be there. Above all there will be the presentation ceremony of our trophy which was given to us by the Football League. Everyone come, accompany us as is always the case ” explains the Hafia FC coach at a press conference.
This match between Hafia FC and the promoted Gangan FC of Kindia will be played this Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Petit Sory stadium in Nongo. The presentation of last season’s Guinean champion trophy to the KPC club will take place at 3 p.m. at the Petit Sory stadium in Nongo.
