French striker complains about a ball that allegedly crossed the goal line
Antoine Griezmann did not hold back in criticizing UEFA, after a controversial move in the match between France and Greece. In the 89th minute, the striker appeared to put the ball into Odysseas Vlachodimos’ goal, but the referee ruled no goal and the game continued. The match ended in a draw (2-2).
«What was missing for us to finish the group with all the points? Goal line technology. UEFA has a lot of money and can’t do everything to make sure it’s a goal or not…», he said, speaking to TF1’s microphones.
Griezmann’s rant on this contentious action at the microphone of @TF1 :
“UEFA has a lot of money and they can’t get everything right so that we know if there’s a goal or not. » 😤
Goal or not according to you (clarification: it is the angle of the top which is taken into account)… pic.twitter.com/YIiko04qtq

Didier Deschamps also left criticism: «I regret that we are like this at international level. Why was there no goal line technology? Obviously this is inconsistent with the requirements of high-level football.”
