The lawyer assured that “it is complex to determine where international artists have to pay their taxes,” and stressed that Shakira did not intend to deceive anyone, since “she shows everything on social networks.”

The lawyer also stated that he wanted the trial to take place, but that it was Shakira who decided that it was better to avoid it.

“I think we could have won, but deontologically we have to respect their will,” he added.

Regarding the reason that led Shakira to accept a pact to avoid holding the trial, she explained that it is the same reason that she made public in the statement, and that it is that “she prioritized the well-being of her children and that she wanted to turn the page on Spain.” .
