Children’s ombudsman Inga Bejer Engh (52) will be the new assistant chief of the Police Security Service (PST).
She confirmed that to him Aftenposten Tuesday night.
Engh takes up the new job in the spring and takes over from Hedvig Moe, who left as assistant manager in PST in April.
She comes from her job as a children’s representative, where her term expires next year.
Engh became a children’s ombudsman in 2018. She has a degree in law and was a state attorney for twelve years before becoming a judge in the Oslo district court.
She is best known as the prosecutor in the 22 July trial in 2012.
