The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Emirates Children’s Theater Festival, in its 17th session, chose the distinguished Emirati artist, Bodour Al Sa’i, as the festival’s Personality of the Year, for her great artistic contributions and clear impact on local theater in general and children’s theater in particular.
The artist, Bodour Mohammed Al-Saei, has bright theatrical marks, especially at the Emirates Children’s Theater Festival, since her first participation in the year 2009 with the play “Jasmine and the Evil Gentle,” then “Cinderella and I” in 2010, then “The Clowns” in 2017, and “The Game” in 2018, and “The Rose Seller” in 2019 and other theatrical performances, most of which won acting awards for her distinguished participation in those performances, which are still engraved in the memories of playwrights, critics, and audiences.
With her theatrical journey spanning more than two decades, she presented many theatrical performances, starting with the play “Genie Academy” in 2003, and important participations in Sharjah Theater Days since 2006 with the play “Al Salamah,” for which she won her first award in acting, in addition to theatrical performances. Which formed stations in the history of Emirati, Gulf and Arab theatre, including: “The play “The Day Has Gone” won the Best Show Award at Sharjah Theater Days 2022, and the Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi Award for Best Show in Morocco at the Arab Theater Festival 2023. She also won Badour in her career. Many Gulf and Arab acting awards, including the play “Naharat Aloul” 2014, “Don’t Tell Your Visions” 2015, “A Gloss of Passing” 2017, “Zagnbot” and “Tafsir Bint Yaqut,” both in 2023.”
During her rich theatrical career, Badour won more than 20 theatrical acting awards, and worked with many theater directors, the most important of whom were Naji Al-Hai, Hassan Rajab, Muhammad Al-Amiri, Marai Al-Halyan, Ali Jamal, Marwan Abdullah Saleh, and others, and she had an active presence in Local theatrical events bear witness to her distinction and her right to receive the title of character of the seventeenth session of the Emirates Children’s Theater Festival.
The artist, Bodour Al-Saei, will be honored at the opening ceremony of the festival on December 17, with the screening of a documentary about her theatrical career and the most important milestones that shaped her theatrical experience.
