Snoop Dogg doesn’t quit smoking, he just advertises a barbecue

A few days ago, Snoop Dogg shocked the whole world with news that was unlike him: he declared that he would stop smoking: “After careful consideration and conversation with my family, I have decided to quit smoking. Please respect my privacy at this time”he posted on Instagram and X/Twitter.

As one might suspect, this is ultimately not real information. Even worse, this whole statement was actually hiding an advertisement for a barbecue. Yes, you read correctly, a BARBECUE.

This barbecue has a particularity, it does not spit smoke. Now do you understand why Snoop Dogg said he was giving up smoking? In reality, the marketing coup is strong since the video, on X/Twitter alone, has been seen more than 50 million times. These are stratospheric scores which will certainly allow the barbecue brand to make a maximum profit.

Snoop will still have made a lot of people question their cannabis consumption. Even some artists followed the movement following his announcement, such as Meek Mill who said on X/Twitter: “I’m going to go to Dubai and quit smoking completely. I’m going to follow Snoop, my doctor told me I have a little emphysema in my chest if I don’t stop smoking it will cut my lifeline in two. I was addicted to nicotine and this new weed has too many chemicals and too many risks to mess with my mind!”. Here’s hoping the revelation of the marketing stunt doesn’t break people’s momentum.
