Gabon: President Oligui Nguéma and Ambassador Pamela Joanne Mcphail talk about cooperation and environment – AGP

Libreville, November 20, 2023 (AGP) – The President of the Transition, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema received, this Monday, November 20, at the Rénovation Palace in Libreville, the Ambassador of Great Britain, High Commissioner of the United Kingdom, of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Gabonese Republic, Pamela Joanne Mcphail, with whom he spoke about bilateral cooperation, preservation of the environment and the fight against climate change, reports a press release from the presidency received by the AGP .

“The British diplomat spoke today with the President of the Transition. This meeting was an opportunity for the two hosts to discuss the multisectoral cooperation that links our two countries, as well as issues of common interest,” the press release said.

“On the eve of the upcoming holding of the 28th Conference of the Parties on Climate (COP 28) which will be held in Dubai next December, the President of the Republic discussed, with his interlocutor, questions relating to the preservation of the environment and the fight against global warming,” said the same press release.

The meeting between the two personalities takes place, after the British diplomat took office on November 17, on the occasion of the ceremony of presentation of letters of credence to the Head of State.
