Fans have become concerned about the health of pop icon Taylor Swift after multiple videos of her performing in the sweltering heat in Rio de Janeiro were posted on social media. This is reported by The Sun.
In one of the videos you can see how the singer began to choke while singing the song Take Me Home. She was forced to shorten the composition to catch her breath. According to the publication, the air temperature during the concert was about 38 °C.
“It’s so scary the way Taylor cut the song short to catch her breath,” “She’s beet red. I can’t imagine how much energy this show took.” “She’s only 33 years old and in incredible physical shape. But the lack of air is really scary,” “Why was this concert held on the surface of the Sun?”, write the singer’s alarmed fans.
A total of three shows were planned in Brazil as part of the singer’s world tour The Eras Tour, but after the death of a fan before the first concert, Taylor Swift postponed the concert.
As reported EADaily, the concert on November 17 took place at a 60,000-seat stadium in Rio de Janeiro. The girl in the front row lost consciousness at some point. She was taken to the hospital, but it was not possible to resuscitate her; the 23-year-old fan of the singer died.
According to a nurse who was part of the ambulance team, the victim was treated at the stadium for about 40 minutes, but on the way to the hospital she again suffered cardiac arrest.
The concert took place in conditions of extreme heat even for Brazil – about 60 °C; emergency services personnel counted more than 1 thousand people fainting during the event. At the same time, on social networks, the singer’s fans complained about the ban on bringing water bottles into the stadium. The singer was forced to interrupt her performance to hand out water to fans.
