AI and Unreal Engine will be integrated into Verge’s electric motorcycles

Verge Motorcycles har announced that they are teaming up with Epic Games to bring the Starmatter platform to their e-bikes. We’re told the motorcycle company intends to use AI and the Unreal Engine to access new features, use machine learning and better tailor each bike to the rider, all through the Starmatter platform.

This means, among other things, that the bikes will use advanced sensor technology that can update itself, while the user interface is said to be able to improve and adapt to the riding experience. It is even stated that the work to introduce Starmatter on all the bikes is well underway, and that you can already find the Unreal Engine in each and every one of the new Verge superbikes.

“Advanced software is part of the DNA of Verge superbikes, but Starmatter is something even bigger,” says Verge CTO Marko Lehtimäki. “It’s like an invisible layer of star matter covering the bike, customizing the riding experience for each user on an individual level and enabling exciting new features. We’ve never seen such a comprehensive technological leap in the motorcycle space before.”

Starmatter’s sensor suite will include GPS positioning, accelerometer, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity, and it will even be able to tell you when it needs service. The Verge electric bikes will also have support for fast charging.
