If things go as usual, Sony Mobile’s 2024 lineup will include at least three models: Xperia 1 VI, 5 VI, and 10 VI.
New leak information regarding the camera specifications of a mid-range model belonging to the “IV generation” (i.e. probably the Xpria 10 VI) has been discovered on Reddit.
The next generation mid-range Xperia is interesting.
But that’s not because the chipset will be changed for the first time in two years, but because the main camera sensor will be renewed again and will be equivalent to the LYT600.
As you know, this year’s Xperia 10 V is equipped with the Snapdragon 695 chipset, which is the same as the previous model’s 10 IV.
Therefore, I think it is only natural that the SoC will be changed in the next generation model.
However, the main camera sensor of the Xperia 10 V has been left unchanged for 3 generations (II, III, and IV), but has just been updated to a 48MP Sony IMX582.
As a result, the sensor size has been significantly increased from 1/2.8 inch to 1/1.5 inch.
I don’t think there has ever been an example of Sony replacing the main camera sensor installed in an Xperia in one generation, at least in the recent Xperia.
On the other hand, it is also interesting that it uses a sensor equivalent to the LYT700, one of Sony’s new camera brand LYTIA sensors.
So, even if this information is true,Basically, the number of pixels and size of the sensor will not change significantly, but instead the sensor will have features similar to those of a high-end model, such as support for multiple HDR methods.does that mean?
By the way, the new Exmor T sensor “IMX 888” installed in this year’s Xperia 1 V is said to be almost equivalent to the LYT800 in the LYTIA series.
