Free turkeys on Thanksgiving in New York: Here are the places and times where they give away

Thanksgiving week has already begun, a time to celebrate with the family and eat the traditional turkey. However, for many families the high cost of typical seasonal products can complicate the celebration.

But associations, politicians and organizations will hold several events in New York to give away turkeys so that no one

Several events will be held in most of the City’s counties to obtain this support for free.

Check out the list that includes the times and dates of each delivery and how to register if necessary.

Univision Contigo New York will have a Thanksgiving event in partnership with the Diocese of Queens and Brooklyn where hundreds of turkeys and other food will be delivered.

Schedule: To be defined. Prior registration is required by calling 888-744-7900

Councilor Francisco Moya Giveaway
Day: November 20
Location: LeFrak City at Junction Boulevard and 58th Avenue
Schedule: Starts at 3:00 pm until ends. They will be delivered on a first-come, first-served basis until sold out.

Senator Comrie’s 9th Annual Turkey Giveaway
Day: November 20
Lugar: Macedonia Ame Church, 106-16 Guy Brewer Boulevard, Jamaica, Queens.
Schedule: Starts at 12:00 pm and will be delivered in order of arrival. The event is only for those who live in District 14.

Place: 1134 Broadway Avenue in Brooklyn
Hours: 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Turkeys and other support will be delivered as people arrive.
