The number of faces in the entertainment world who choose to say words about the tragic event that has shocked public opinion in recent days is growing. The tragic death of Giulia Cecchettin led, too late, to a wave of solidarity towards the issue, sparking a debate that has always met with much resistance in television studios. Fortunately, some figures such as Antonella Clerici, in addition to dedicating a thought to the topic, or when possible dealing with it in their programs, have chosen to speak directly to the public, loudly asking for real change. Hoping that this can only be a first step and an example to transform this media attention, the result of a tragic event, into a systematic means of raising awareness of the effects of patriarchy.

At the beginning of the program It’s always midday of Rai 1, Clerici decides to interrupt the normal course of the broadcast to send a message strong but necessary: ”I have always said that the most important messages pass through the lightness that we face every day. The presenter then gives an example: “That is, when my daughter gets a 4 in a subject, it’s not the teachers’ fault, it’s her fault because he didn’t study. If we protect these kids too much, we always make them feel in their comfort zone, social media gives them even greater performance anxiety and we are always too attentive to them, they will never be used to defeats, nor to no’s from friends, to no to girlfriends, to no to nothing. Among the many reasons there are, in addition to sentimental education which clearly must start from school, education must start from us adults. Let’s get our kids used to this, because it’s really very important. Then you can have many conversations, but as a mother or father this is very important.”
