Putin used the 71 meter long yacht “Victoria” and the 39 meter long ship “Orion”. “Victoria” was built in the shipyards of the Russian military factory “Sevmash”.
The yacht is currently in a Turkish shipyard for repairs. “Victoria” left the port of Sochi on October 21 and docked at the shipyard two days later.
The dossier states that Vladimir Putin has never been photographed on board the Victoria, so there is no direct evidence that the yacht belongs to him. However, as with other Russian presidential yachts, there is enough circumstantial evidence – a specially selected crew, the ship’s route, an unusual construction history for the owner, and other aspects.
On October 25, the yacht’s transmitter was switched off, which means that the services cannot track the yacht. Investigators were able to identify the yacht using a drone.
