Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Indonesian fighter Jeka Saragih refuse revenge to Anshul Jubilee after winning over Lucas Alexander in his UFC debut at UFC Vegas 82, Sunday (19/11).
In this fight, Jeka Saragih won by knockout over Lucas Alexander at UFC APEX. With a right hook, Jeka knocked out Alexander.
Seeing Alexander lying on the Ocatgon fence, Jeka finished the duel with a series of punches to his opponent’s face before the referee stopped the duel.
In the press conference after the fight, Jeka Saragih was asked about revenge against Anshul Jubli. However, the fighter from Simalungun, North Sumatra, refused to revanch against Jubli.
“No, I don’t expect to fight him again, because he lost yesterday,” said Jeka Saragih, quoted by MMA Junkie.
Anshul Jubli is an Indian fighter who defeated Jeka Saragih by TKO in a duel for his UFC debut ticket at UFC Vegas 68.
Initially, the winner of the Road to UFC will get a contract and debut in the UFC. However, the UFC changed its policy by continuing to contract Jeka Saragih even though he lost to Anshul Jubli.
In their UFC debut, Jeka Saragih and Anshul Jubli had different fates. Jeka won by KO with punches over Lucas Alexander, while Jubli lost by KO with punches to Mike Breeden at UFC 294, October 21.
“Why fight again? If [Jubli] won, I was hoping for a rematch, but yesterday he lost, so what’s the point?” said Jeka Saragih.
