PUBG publisher Krafton is working on Sims-like game inZOI with UE5 engine

I can certainly understand. Paralives has a very small team, so they just decided to go more in the cell-shading direction instead of high fidelity graphics.

But I think it’s wonderful that there are now not one, but three new players on the market, two of which are from impressive studios in Paradox and Krafton. The hope is that at least one of those three can make it happen, and finally bring fans of the genre some innovation and fun, which EA has been milking for the past 15 years.

I don’t assume that they will be perfect, or that they will contain everything I hope, but I do expect that they will create a super strong foundation that we will hopefully enjoy for years to come, and that a modding scene can further build on. It will probably also be a DLC/Expansion fest, but as long as it innovates I can really live with purchasing a DLC every 6 months.

As long as it’s not that “Here you have 2 new beds, 3 chairs, and a sofa. Where is my 15-30 euros?” grift is what EA/Maxis comes up with every time.
