Egypt continues to provide all means of support and relief to the Palestinian brothers since the first day of the war on the Gaza Strip, President Sisi’s directives to support the brothers at all levels, especially the facilities for treating the wounded and injured Palestinians.
The Ministry of Health and Population implemented plans to transfer the injured to Egyptian hospitals with the start of allowing their entry through the Rafah crossing, so more than 3 hospitals in North Sinai were equipped as a first stage to provide health care to the wounded.
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, revealed that Egypt has prepared approximately 37 hospitals, including field, mobile, and stand-alone hospitals, to be a refuge for the wounded and injured.
The Ministry of Health has prepared approximately 11,000 inpatient beds, 1,700 intensive care units, and 150 advanced ambulances to quickly treat infected cases.
The Minister of Health confirmed that 38,000 doctors and 25,000 nurses have been deployed to work in serving the wounded and injured Palestinians, stressing that Egypt has a great capacity to receive any number of sick and injured Palestinian cases and that the directives of the political leadership include receiving and treating all cases. The Minister pointed out that there are 10 to 20 % Of patients need urgent therapeutic interventions
