The Honduras national team could suffer two important losses for the second leg against Mexico at the Azteca Stadium corresponding to the Quarterfinals of the Concacaf Nations League.
The coach of La H, Reinaldo Rueda, confirmed that there are two players who, two days before the crucial game, are still doubtful to see minutes at the Coloso de Santa Úrsula.
“We have the situation of (Louis) Vega on his shoulder, and (Luis) Palmawho had a collision with Sánchez, we hope they recover,” he explained for the Cinco Deportivo program in Honduras.
Lusi Vega works as a central defender under Reinaldo Rueda’s scheme and was an essential piece to maintain order in the lower half and neutralize Mexico’s attack led by Santiago Giménez in the first half.
For his part, Luis Rueda, who plays for Celtic in Scotland, considered one or, perhaps, the most talented footballer of the Honduras National Team, was the driving force of the Catracho midfield and added the assist for the goal that inaugurated the victory of 2 -0 at the National Stadium of Tegucigalpa last Friday, November 17.
The boss of La H added that he does not expect many changes in Jaime Lozano’s lineup, beyond those already confirmed such as the loss of goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa after the blow to the right shoulder he suffered against Anthony Lozano in the first leg.
“It will be difficult for Mexico to make changes, it has been made to look like it was not the credit of Honduras, they played well and so did we,” he added.
