The winner of the European Car of the Year 2023 title will also be available in the e-Hybrid version from now on, which will also allow short distances to be covered in fully electric mode.
Until now, buyers could choose the Avenger with an internal combustion engine or its fully electric model, but now the compact SUV will also be available in an e-Hybrid version. This model is developed on the basis of a 1.2-liter 100 hp gasoline turbo engine, is combined with 48V technology and a six-speed e-DSC6 dual-clutch gearbox, which integrates a 21 kW electric motor.
Thanks to such a solution, short distances (up to 1 km) can be done electrically, for example in the city center, while doing the same in some other situations, such as traffic jams, moving slowly with the help of the E-Queueing function, or parking the car ( E-Parking function).
The manufacturer reveals that the power reserves are stored using the brake regenerative function, the run to 100 km/h takes 11 seconds, and the fuel consumption is 5.1 liters per 100 kilometers.
Visually, the e-Hybrid is distinguished by the version plates on the body, but in the cabin it is reminded of the specific e-Hybrid MHEV information display (10.25-inch display for an extra charge) and gear shift paddles on the steering wheel.
