BRICS Business Council President Vicente Barrientos presented Russian President Vladimir Putin with a Portuguese language phrasebook at the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum.
“I’ve been waiting for this meeting for a long time, the moderator couldn’t give me the floor. The G20 summit will be held soon in Brazil, I thought it wouldn’t hurt for the Russian president to have a conversation book in Portuguese,” Barrientos said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin for the program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin” on the TV channel “Russia-1”.
The G20 summit in Brazil is expected to take place next fall, with the country taking over the group’s presidency on December 1.
From November 16 to 18, the IX St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum – Forum of United Cultures was held. The event was organized by the Government and Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the authorities of St. Petersburg and the State Hermitage Museum.
