This was stated on the TV channel “Belarus 1” Minister of Transport and Communications Alexey Lyakhnovich, reports BELTA.
Belarus is considering the possibility of purchasing a Russian aircraft.
“Unfortunately, we cannot purchase it yet for obvious reasons – there is no purely Russian aircraft on the market. Therefore, we are working with the Russian side so that we can be pushed forward a little in terms of when this plane will appear. Most likely, this will happen after 2026,” said Alexey Lyakhnovich.
Answering the question when there will be an electric train that will connect the capital’s railway station with the Minsk National Airport, the minister noted that there is a separate presidential decree. “This year we are completing the design of the railway to the National Airport. Now the project is under examination. If it passes the examination, then we will determine the stages of implementation of the project and look for money so that the train to the airport appears. I hope this will be by 2027,” – added Alexey Lyakhnovich.
