The friends Dylan and Rico (both 15) took part in the Lucerne Film Camp in the summer of 2022 and produced the short film “INFINITE” there. This week they unexpectedly won the “Best Film” award at the Zug Film Festival. A huge surprise for both of them: “I’m over the moon. “I will never forget this day,” Rico told 20 Minutes. Dylan can hardly believe it either: “When we found out we won, it was unbelievable. It was so motivating. At that moment I just thought that I can achieve anything I want.”
As Dylan and Rico say, they submitted their short film to several competitions: “It was a surprise for us that we were nominated at all.” The colleagues have been visiting the film camp every year since 2020. “I really enjoy being involved there,” says Rico, who would like to continue making films in the future. The 15-year-olds spend a week of their summer vacation there learning a lot about acting, filming and editing.
They produced “INFINITE” last year. “We initially wanted to recreate a bank robbery, but that was too general for us,” says Dylan. Over time, a humorous story developed in which three robbers are blackmailed. At the end of the story, a robber’s stupid little brother unfortunately screws up the entire mission.
