November 18, 2023.- Last Tuesday, November 14, a tourist boat (ferry) with more than 100 personas on board sank in the waters of Blue Lagoon, Bahamasleaving a balance of a deceased person y two people hospitalized. The deceased woman, a 75-year-old American national, has not had the exact causes of her death confirmed.
The incident was documented in videos shared on the user’s social networks. Kelly Schissel (@kellyswitz), where you can see the passengers, equipped with life jackets and scared. Kelly mentioned that the ship’s tilt caused a delay in evacuation as passengers awaited instructions from staff.
Ongoing investigations seek to clarify the exact circumstances of the incident. The tourist community and Bahamian authorities evaluate the need to review and strengthen security measures on tourist vessels.
