A large Polish chain stepped into it in the Czech Republic. He opened that giant store and has half the prices of the others. Czechs celebrate, that was missing here

Now it’s hard for anyone to stop it. Large Polish chains have noticed the Czech Republic as an important outlet that is literally waiting for their great services at favorable prices. The truth is that Poles are by no means used to paying for goods such sums as the chains charge in the Czech Republic. So if he enters here, it will mean a big rodeo.

A real deal

It is speculated that the large Biedronka grocery chain, which is already opening a store in neighboring Slovakia, is planning to enter our market. For now, however, we have to make do with chains selling fashion and various home accessories. But even here there is something to be worth, as the HalfPrice store recently shows.

He already has several stores in the Czech Republic. The first one opened here in 2021, and now it’s really taking off. Right on Wenceslas Square in Prague, he opened nothing less than his largest store in Central Europe, which is saying something.

As its name already suggests, it relies on low, at least then half, prices compared to normal. Compared to the Czech competition, however, the discounts are significantly higher. The unique store concept is also related to this. It sells fashion and other goods at very affordable prices, but it does it differently than Primark, which produces everything under its own brands, which are not very well known.

Shopping is great

On the contrary, at HalfPrice you can buy world-renowned brands, often even the most luxurious ones. It buys from practically everyone, and it is about goods that have passed through standard and outlet stores. What doesn’t sell ends up right here, so the price tags can go really low.

I really like going here. Every week I find new goods here and I can easily get lost among the shelves for several hours. Fantastic pieces can be found here at ridiculous prices, you just need to search a little,” says Mrs. Dana, whom we caught up with in the store on Václavák. “Unfortunately, fashion in the Czech Republic is generally very expensive, even in outlets where it shouldn’t be. Only here did I come across prices that I know from abroad.

The truth is that there is a lot of interest in the goods in these stores. When the store opened on Wenceslas Square, it was a big show and there was a really long queue.
