A 39-year-old man was detained during the specialized police operation to counter the possession and distribution of narcotic substances, the press center of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Varna announced. The action was held yesterday, jointly with the National Police General Directorate.
A large quantity of narcotics was found and seized in two homes occupied by the detainee. In the course of the police operation, two of the man’s properties were searched in the “Pchelina” area and the “Vazrazhdane” district, where law enforcement officials found about a kilogram of cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana, three electronic scales, a press, 3,500 BGN, approximately 1,000 euros. two illegal weapons – one combat pistol and one disguised as a combat pistol, a large amount of ammunition for them, as well as numerous packages prepared for the distribution of drugs.
Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
BTA recalls that at the beginning of the month, the police discovered two greenhouses for growing marijuana in the region.
