Approximately 50 members at the enforcement and scout level took part in education about HIV/AIDS prevention by the DKI Jakarta Provincial AIDS Control Commission (KPAP) at the DKI Jakarta Scout Kwarda Building, Jalan Dipenogoro, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Saturday (18/11).

Acting Head of Promotion and Prevention Division of DKI Jakarta KPAP, Taufik Alief Fuad, said that the aim of holding this education was so that participants could know and understand about HIV/AIDS prevention.
“The participants were also educated that HIV/AIDS can be transmitted through injection needles, blood transfusions, sexual relations resulting from mutually changing partners, and breast milk (ASI) infected with HIV,” said Taufik.

On that occasion, Taufik said, his party also provided communication strategies in dealing with people living with HIV and the need for sustainable synergy by involving Scout members in overcoming HIV/AIDS.
“We hope that the participants can understand HIV/AIDS information correctly and be able to transmit it continuously to their peers,” he said.
Secretary of the DKI Jakarta Scout Kwarda, Triadi, said that this activity was attended by 50 Scout members at the enforcement level and pandega representatives from branches, branches and regions throughout DKI Jakarta.
“Of course we welcome and appreciate this activity so that the Jakarta Scouts can become educational pioneers to their peers to disseminate information obtained regarding HIV/AIDS prevention,” he said.
